PHOENIX (March 26, 2018) – Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry President and CEO Glenn Hamer today released the following statement regarding the announcement that Arizona Board of Regents President Eileen Klein would be stepping away from the position in the coming months:

“Eileen Klein has positively impacted Arizona as much as any public official. The state is tremendously better off thanks to her contributions.

“In the decade since she answered the call to return to public service, Eileen has profoundly shaped the future of our state. Arizona’s outlook is much brighter because of the impact she’s left in state government and higher education.

“On a personal note, I’ve been fortunate to call Eileen not only a colleague, but a friend. She has been a model board member of the Arizona Chamber and a trusted source of wisdom and insight. I wish her only the best in the next stage of her life. I know she’ll continue to serve Arizona in whatever she does.”
