PHOENIX – The Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry today announced its 2014 endorsements for statewide offices.

The endorsed candidates are:

  • Governor: Doug Ducey
  • Secretary of State: Michele Reagan
  • Attorney General: Mark Brnovich
  • Treasurer: Jeff DeWit
  • Superintendent of Public Instruction: David Garcia
  • Corporation Commission: Tom Forese and Doug Little
  • Mine Inspector: Joe Hart

The Chamber’s endorsement process is a rigorous one, with endorsements only coming after a supermajority vote of the board of directors.

“We believe we have endorsed an excellent slate of candidates this election,” Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry President and CEO Glenn Hamer said. “All of these candidates understand that fostering an attractive business environment through sound tax, regulatory and tort policies, as well as the replication of educational excellence, is critical to strengthening Arizona’s economy and making the state more competitive. They will bring innovative ideas and strong leadership skills to their respective offices. Arizona’s job creators can look forward to working with all of these fine candidates when they take office.”
