Statement from Arizona Chamber CEO Danny Seiden on Gov. Ducey's State of the State address

PHOENIX (January 10, 2022) – Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry President and CEO Danny Seiden released the following statement in response to Gov. Ducey’s State of the State address this afternoon: “Governor Doug Ducey today made clear that he has no plans to coast through his last legislative session. From Day 1, this governor has been committed to reducing the size of government, stopping the creep of the regulatory state, and ensuring our tax code attracts job creators. In 2022, Gov. Ducey will only build on his outstanding record of accomplishment that has turned Arizona’s economy into one of the country’s strongest. “We look forward to working with Gov. Ducey and the Legislature to deliver on his call for lower taxes, increased educational choices for families, less red tape, and investments in the infrastructure and technology that will secure Arizona’s water future for the decades to come. “Gov. Ducey is right: freedom, opportunity and good government matter. When the Legislature adjourns sine die, we’re confident Arizonans will have more freedom, greater opportunity, and a more responsive state government.”
