| Nov 04, 2025
The Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry today announced the addition of Vanessa Pomeroy as chief counsel of the Arizona Chamber Legal Center, where she will help lead the Chamber’s legal and policy efforts to promote a competitive business environment and protect Arizona employers from burdensome regulation and litigation.
Before joining the Chamber, Pomeroy practiced business litigation at Snell & Wilmer, where she represented clients in matters involving government contracting, regulatory compliance, administrative law, and healthcare law—areas that closely align with the complex policy and regulatory issues central to the Chamber’s advocacy efforts. She also has experience in political and election law.
Pomeroy previously clerked for the Honorable Susan M. Brnovich of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and for Justice Clint Bolick of the Arizona Supreme Court.
“Vanessa brings a deep understanding of both the legal system and the regulatory landscape,” said Mike Bailey, general counsel of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry. “Her experience navigating business and administrative law, along with her insight into how legal and policy decisions impact Arizona employers, will make her a valuable asset to our team and our efforts to ensure a fair and predictable environment for businesses.”
Pomeroy earned her law degree from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where she externed for the Honorable Michael T. Liburdi of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and for the Office of General Counsel for Governor Doug Ducey. She previously served as a staff assistant to U.S. Senator John McCain and earned her undergraduate degrees in political science and criminal justice and criminology from Northern Arizona University.
“I’m honored to join the Chamber’s legal team and to support its mission of advancing a strong, competitive business climate in Arizona,” Pomeroy said. “Having worked across both the public and private sectors, I’m excited to bring that experience to this role and to help ensure Arizona remains a great place to do business.”
