Arizona Chamber, Manufacturers Council launch second annual competition to spotlight the state’s best “made-in-Arizona” products
PHOENIX (September 10, 2024) – The Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Arizona Manufacturers Council (AMC) are excited to announce the return of “The Hottest Thing Made in Arizona,” a competition created to celebrate Arizona’s manufacturing community and highlight the state’s most impressive innovations.
Arizona takes pride in being the home of the fastest-growing manufacturing sector in the nation, with more than 630,000 skilled workers and an annual economic contribution exceeding $77 billion. This contest continues to highlight Arizona’s creativity, innovation, and talent by inviting nominations for the “hottest” products manufactured right here in the state.
Nominations for “The Hottest Thing Made in Arizona” are now open to the public. Whether you’re a manufacturer or just a proud Arizonan with a favorite locally made product, we want to hear from you. The process is simple and quick, and there are no limits to the number of products you can submit.
Nomination Criteria:
- Arizona-Based Production: Nominated products must be made in Arizona, although the manufacturer’s headquarters do not need to be located within the state.
- Comprehensive Details: Nominations must include the product name, manufacturer’s name, a link to the product or company’s website, and the name and email address of the nominator.
- Online Submission: Nominations must be submitted exclusively through the official contest website at www.hottestthingaz.com.
Once the nomination period closes, the public will be able to vote for their favorite products. Voting is limited to one vote per person per day. The top three products with the most votes will advance to the final round, where vote counts reset, and the competition heats up.
Important Dates:
- First Round Nominations: September 10 – October 1
- Top 3 Round Voting: October 2 – October 23
- Winner Announcement: October 23
The winner of the contest will be announced at a special reception during our 2024 Manufacturing Workforce Summit on October 23.
“The Hottest Thing Made in Arizona” is more than a competition – it’s a celebration of the creativity, innovation, and pride that make Arizona a leader in manufacturing. Last year, the Boeing AH-64 Apache Helicopter claimed the title. Who will take the crown in 2024? You decide! Submit your nomination today and help us showcase the best of Arizona.
“To be recognized as the inaugural winner of this competition was a proud moment for Boeing, especially given the strong manufacturing talent across our state,” said Mark Gaspers, Director of Government Operations for Boeing. “This contest is an excellent opportunity to shine a light on the innovation and ingenuity happening right here in Arizona. I’m excited to see it continue to grow, and I hope everyone will take part by nominating and voting for the products that showcase Arizona’s leadership in manufacturing.”
