Donald Trump apparently has no capacity for embarrassment.
After grabbing headlines with his ridiculous comments about Mexicans, Trump has now denigrated the service of our senior senator, John McCain.
Sen. McCain, by anyone’s account, is a national hero. When you’ve been shot down over a warzone, have been held captive for over five years, and refused early release until those captured before you were released, the moniker “hero” is well earned.
Trump is a fool. His comments are revolting. He is a fraud and a carnival act. Trump’s comments are an insult to all those who have worn the uniform of the United States, prisoners of war in particular. When it comes to the defense of this country, Trump doesn’t know his ear from his elbow.
No one in their right mind would think that about John McCain’s service, much less say it.
