Congratulations to Debbie Johnson on her new role as director of the Arizona Office of Tourism. Governor Ducey announced yesterday that he would appoint Debbie to replace retiring director Sherry Henry.
Debbie has been an active and invaluable member of the Chamber’s board for many years. She has served as the Chair of our Tourism Committee, advising on public policy for an industry employing more than 170,000 Arizonans. Her many industry accolades and depth of knowledge will serve Governor Ducey and the state well in her new role.
While Sherry Henry will be missed after 20 years of dedicated service, I have every confidence that we can expect continued excellence from our Office of Tourism.
We will miss Debbie around our boardroom table, but look forward to working with her and the Arizona Office of Tourism to bring visitors and jobs to our state.
