Danny Seiden

President & CEO

Danny brings more than 16 years of experience in global public affairs and government relations, as well as handling complex legal matters in private practice and public sector service. Prior to joining the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Danny was general counsel to the Valor Global leadership team. He focused on helping achieve growth objectives as well as providing continued public affairs guidance in AZ, WA and other States.  

Danny worked at Intel, was a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig where he chaired the Phoenix office government law and policy practice. Danny served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Arizona Governor Doug Ducey from 2014 to 2018 where he assisted in the passage of landmark legislation including the Arizona Opioid Epidemic Act and K–12 education funding ballot referral. 

Danny was recently named among 2020 Leaders of the Year in Public Policy by Arizona Capitol Times for his contributions in the field of law and public policy. Danny earned his Juris Doctor (cum laude) from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from Pepperdine University. Danny serves as an adjunct professor at Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, is a board member of numerous community organizations. Danny is passionate about orphan care and volunteers with Orphan Outreach for orphaned and vulnerable children in Mathare, Nairobi and Bungoma, Kenya. He and his wife Ann, live in Phoenix with their three children. 

Mike Bailey

General Counsel & Director of Legal Reform Programs

Michael Bailey is currently the general counsel at the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and a partner at Tully Bailey LLP. He formerly served as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona and as chief deputy in the Arizona Attorney General's Office. 

Courtney Coolidge

Executive Vice President

Courtney Coolidge serves as the Executive Vice President of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry. 

Prior to joining the Chamber, Courtney served as the Senior Director for State Relations at Arizona State University and the Deputy Chief of Staff for the Arizona Department of Public Safety where she oversaw legislative affairs, government relations, policy development and implementation. During her time at AZDPS she worked on several significant projects including the Arizona Border Strike Force, self-driving vehicle operations, and management of the Arizona Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kit Task Force. 

Courtney has a decade of experience as a government relations professional with expertise in policy, advocacy, and legislative affairs. Her professional experience includes government affairs roles at the Arizona Department of Gaming and for the Arizona Attorney General where she worked on a wide range of issues including criminal justice, victims’ rights, and consumer protection. Additionally, Courtney previously worked for a political consulting firm gaining experience through a variety of state, local, and national campaigns. 

Courtney graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Political Science. 

Annie Dockendorff

Vice President of Communication

Annie Dockendorff joined the Chamber in December 2021 after having served for five years as an associate director for Veridus – one of Arizona’s largest and most reputable government relations and public affairs firms – where she helped lead a growing PR consultancy for some of the highest-profile clients in the state. 

Prior to joining Veridus, Annie served on the communications teams for Arizona Governors Doug Ducey and Jan Brewer. 

As Senior Press Secretary to Gov. Ducey, Annie was responsible for the messaging and drafting of all external communications from the Governor’s Office, including public statements and remarks, press releases, newspaper Op-Eds, social media content and more. She also was integral to the planning and drafting of all keynote policy speeches, including two State of the State addresses. 

Previously, Annie served more than three years under former Gov. Brewer – initially as a Communications Specialist and, later, as Deputy Press Secretary. 

She has expertise in strategic messaging and crisis communications, as well as strong writing skills and a proven reputation among media members and elected officials alike. 

Annie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s in communication and minors in Spanish and sociology. 

Grace Appelbe

Director of Policy & Government Affairs

Grace has knowledge and experience in advocacy, policy, and government affairs on the state and federal levels. Prior to joining the Chamber, Grace served as Policy Advisor for Governor Doug Ducey. In this role she focused on the development and implementation of policy and worked closely with state agencies and the legislative, operations, budget and communications teams on a variety of issues including housing, real estate, economic security, workplace safety and more. 

Before moving back to her home state of Arizona, Grace worked at the U.S. House of Representatives, staffing the Committee on Energy and Commerce. She also spent time engaging in advocacy and external relations at the world’s largest biotechnology trade association, Biotechnology Innovation Organization, during her time in Washington, DC. 

Grace graduated with a degree in Government from Georgetown University – Hoya Saxa! 

Tom Ducey

Director of Operations & Membership

Tom, a Miami University Finance graduate, initially joined the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry as a Government Affairs Associate in December 2019, bringing political experience and strategic insight to the organization.

Transitioning to the role of Director of Operations & Membership in August 2021, he continued to excel, spearheading initiatives that garnered national recognition, including achieving the highest number of new corporate members in any state chamber in 2022.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Tom remains committed to community service, serving as a golf coach and event volunteer at First Tee Phoenix and as a Board Member at the Association of State Chamber Professionals. Tom is committed to driving organizational growth and fostering a thriving business environment in Arizona. 

Sierra Ciaramella

Director of Public Affairs

Sierra Ciaramella is the director of public affairs for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She previously served as chief external affairs officer for the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office, overseeing legislative affairs, communications, and constituent services. Before that, she held multiple roles throughout her tenure in Governor Doug Ducey’s administration, including creative content manager, chief deputy communications director, and special assistant to the chief of staff. Sierra holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Arizona State University.

Ali Bates

Membership Accounts Manager

Ali joined the membership and events team at the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry in March 2022. Her role at the Chamber includes member relations, recruitment and retention, member engagement and account management. Most recently, Ali has been brought on to help manage the Arizona Chamber Foundation, where she worked as a Program Director for Arizona’s inaugural National Civics Bee competition in 2024. 

Ali graduated from the University of Southern California in 2019. She is a proud Phoenix native and is happy to be back in her home state of Arizona. 

Outside of the Chamber, Ali serves on the Board of Directors for Valley Youth Theatre, as well as on their Executive Committee. She is also actively involved with the National Historical Fire Foundation and the Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting. She and her husband, Streator, live in Phoenix with their dog and cat. 

Sarah Forlano

Senior Executive Assistant 

With over 20 years of experience in administrative and office management roles, Sarah is a highly skilled Senior Executive Assistant and Office Manager known for exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Sarah excels in providing high-level administrative support, managing executive calendars, handling confidential information, and ensuring smooth office operations.

Known for a proactive approach to streamlining processes, improving office efficiency, and fostering positive working environments, Sarah is dedicated to delivering top-tier service to executives and teams. With a strong background in multitasking, project coordination, and fostering professional relationships, Sarah thrives in fast-paced, dynamic work settings.
