PHOENIX – The Arizona Manufacturers Council’s 2013 Environmental and Sustainability Summit (ESS) will take place Thursday and Friday, August 22-23 in Prescott, Arizona.
This two-day event will be filled with cutting edge information, lively discussions, and networking with colleagues and regulators from around the state.
The event kicks off Thursday, August 22 with a morning golf tournament at the StoneRidge Golf Course and an evening networking reception at the Prescott Resort and Conference Center. The full-day summit follows on Friday, August 23 at the StoneRidge Golf Club, featuring an industry tradeshow and speakers from government and industry addressing the latest environmental and sustainability topics and trends.
Over the years, ESS has become a signature industry event – providing an opportunity for members of the environmental and sustainability community to convene in one location and discuss the latest developments in industry standards and advancements. This year’s Summit will continue in this tradition, featuring presentations on “The Business Case for Sustainable Development Practices,” “Application of LEAN to Environmental Compliance and Sustainability Programs,” and “Fact, Fiction, Opportunity & Threat: Deciphering How Federal and State Environmental Policy Will Impact You”.
Panel topics will include the retrofitting of Taliesin West and more, with panelists representing a variety of Arizona companies, including PING, Mayo Clinic, Intel, Raytheon, and First Solar.
In addition, Director Henry Darwin of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality will serve as keynote speaker, discussing the Voluntary Environmental Stewardship Program (VESP).
