PHOENIX (April 8, 2019)—The Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry applauded Arizona’s congressional delegation for its work to successfully pass the federal implementation of the Drought Contingency Plan.

“I want to thank our congressional delegation for its bipartisan work to pass the Drought Contingency Plan, which is so vital to Arizona’s ability to continue to thrive,” Chamber President and CEO Glenn Hamer said. “The entire delegation acted with urgency and was united in doing what is best for Arizona. Arizona’s job creators appreciate the leadership demonstrated throughout the process by bill sponsors Sen. Martha McSally and Rep. Raul Grijalva for shepherding the bill through their respective chambers.

“The Chamber looks forward to President Trump signing the bill soon. We welcome the opportunity to continue to work with the administration, Gov. Ducey, and the delegation in promoting wise water policy.”
