PHOENIX (August 7, 2019) – The Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry is pleased to announce that Courtney Coolidge is the Chamber’s new vice president of government affairs.
Courtney will serve as the Chamber’s lead advocate at the state Capitol, working with job creators across the state and with members of both parties in pursuit of public policy that will enhance Arizona’s competitive standing.
“We are so fortunate to have Courtney on our team as we prepare for another legislative session representing the needs and concerns of Arizona employers,” Arizona Chamber President and CEO Glenn Hamer said. “Courtney brings a wealth of experience and an outstanding reputation to the Chamber, which will serve our membership well as we continue our work to make Arizona the best state in the country to do business.”
Prior to joining the Chamber, Courtney was Arizona State University’s senior director of state relations. Previous career stops include serving as the deputy chief of staff for the state Department of Public Safety; government relations and public affairs manager for the Arizona Department of Gaming; and legislative liaison for the Office of the Attorney General.
“I am looking forward to joining the state’s most influential business organization and amplifying the voice of the business leaders who make Arizona so strong,” Courtney said. “Gov. Ducey and the Legislature’s pro-growth policies have positioned Arizona as one of the country’s fastest-growing economies. I can’t wait to get started building on those successes.”
